The traffic violations in Colombo has increased five folds. The traffic police is having instant raids, but the frequent motorists already know their favorite spots.
But the most tiresome is the jumping queues at the Thimbirigasyaya Traffic lights, during morning school traffic. This happens every day in traffic moving towards Thunmulla junction. The queue jumping involves driving on the wrong side of the continues white line as well.
While we law abiding citizens wait in the queue in frustration lot of drivers jump the queue & happily drive. The most frustrating is the
inaction of the traffic police stationed directing the traffic at the junction, who witness this blatant violation.
BUT, this is Sri Lanka!. I have seen even police jeeps doing the same violation. So where can we turn for justice?
